From the technologic point of view, Electromac’s machines are at the cutting edge on
the market because they are the result of a continuous research aimed at optimizing the
product, by resolving in the best possible way all the faults of this type of machines,
faced during a lot of years of work in foundries
In particular, the design of the automatic sand core forming machine using the hot box
system (model Elmac F1 and Elmac F2) has been carried out with the main goal to guarantee
during the whole production cycle the manufacture of sand cores without burrs and
perfectly pressed even using low pressure in sand injection. This result is achieved by
adopting a hydraulic die closing system on four hardened and ground guides. Here the die
block is driven by a hydraulic master cylinder which develops a closing force of 3,000 kg.
The die heating plates are made of a steel which is extremely resistant to heat
deformation. This way, perfect and hermetic die closing is constantly obtained at all
temperatures.
The metering unit for liquid resin D70-L has been designed to guarantee with a completely
automatic cycle a perfect metering of the necessary components for the production of sand
cores. The very good mixture of siliceous sand, liquid resins and catalysts is guaranteed
by volumetric metering devices, a system that has proved the best among all metering
systems on the market.
Furthermore, Electromac’s technological development has allowed to make the sprue
cutter TR400 / 2S, an absolutely reliable, precise and easy to use cutter. The result is a
machine that can be considered the best on the market, especially because of the
electropneumatic closing side vises, that block quickly and strongly the piece.
Elevated speed in cutting pieces, reduced consumption of abrasive discs, easy management
of the functions of the machine, maximum speed during the phase of preparation of vises
complete the advantages of a machine that completes in the best possible way

Assembling
Electromac’s machines are designed to be the best: this means also that when they are
being manufactured always the best materials and components are chosen. This means that
each machine is accurately assembled by expert hands, that every manufacturing and
assembling phase undergoes a strict control, that all materials have to come up to very
high qualitative standards.
In the assembling protocol of Elmac F1 and Elmac F2 controls on closing parallelisms are
scheduled and a system of plugs and screws guarantees the precision of alignment even if
they have to be disassembled for maintenance. A steel which is extremely resistant to heat
deformation is used for die heating plates and the machines are hard-wired and supplied
with control board and commands on board, so that they can work immediately after
connecting them to electricity.
In the metering unit for liquid resin D70-L all the components getting in touch with sand,
resin and catalysts are made of highly corrosion proof materials, while the automatic
sprue cutter machine TR400/2S, together with the models TR350/2S and TR300/2S, just for
